Hawaii governor says guests welcome once more beginning November 1, 2021

As Hawaii COVID-19 circumstances have been headed on their highest surge but, Governor Ige, requested guests and residents to reduce travel to and from Hawaii through October. Since then, case counts and hospitalizations have come down considerably. As such, Gov. Ige introduced that guests and residents are welcome to journey to and from the state beginning November 1, 2021.

Yesterday, at an occasion on Hawaii Island, Ige said, “Starting November 1st, we wish to invite and encourage fully-vaccinated guests and residents to journey for enterprise or leisure, trans-Pacific and inter-island.” (Source)

Whereas Ige’s assertion particularly welcomes vaccinated guests, no new journey rule adjustments have been introduced for Hawaii’s Safe Travels program. That program presently permits non-vaccinated guests to bypass quarantine by presenting a damaging pre-travel COVID-19 check.

A number of Hawaii guidelines and enterprise insurance policies are shifting in direction of catering to the vaccinated customer and resident. Some examples are:

  • Protected Entry Oahu – absolutely vaccinated prospects are allowed at eating places, bars, gyms, museums. Non-vaccinated prospects should present proof of a damaging COVID-19 check taken throughout the earlier 48 hours. These guidelines apply to individuals age 12 years and up.   • Maui County – absolutely vaccinated prospects are allowed in eating places, bars, gyms, spas.   • Some Hawaii hotels are only open to vaccinated guests.

To our information, Hawaii’s Large Island and Kauai haven’t instituted guidelines limiting entry to solely vaccinated guests.
